Hello, you may want to look into using PHPlist to throttle your emails. You can view step by step instructions on getting that setup here: http://support.hostgator.com/article...l-with-phplist

and I will be able to use this with atomic mail sender???
I have such a huge list of emails I collected from my blogs...but my campaigns get deleted with these email marketers and it sucks. I need to send mass emails. And the ebook I read explained the easiest ways with atomic mail sender and HG. |

No, this is a separate script. You should be able to find all of the information you are needing by logging into your cPanel, clicking Mail Accounts, then click the More button to the right side of the email address you are wanting to set this up for, and then click Setup mail client. This will provide all of the details you would need to plugin to the program.

a 500 mails/hour limit is not to bad, many other companies have a lot less per hour. If you need to mass mail, you should definitely look at third party services (for instance: mailchimp.com or constantcontact.com or....) where you can send thousands, even houndred of thousand mails at once without any problem.
If you want unlimited email/hour limit here at hostgator, you should go VPS or Dedicated Server. |

absolutely - we don't want any spammers !....you should always comply to SPAM-CAN rules etc. and normal practices....if you do, you won't have any problems.
if you don't follow the guidelines and uses your own domain/server to send from, you will likely at some point be blacklisted by major ISP's & spamlisting firms - just wait and see when until hotmail/google etc. blacklists you, how hard it is to get whitelisted again !... Well, that's your choice....comply with normal, best practices....or go you own way, getting blacklisted along the way. Your choice, friend. |

Gators,
We strictly enforce our policies regarding unsolicited commercial e-mail - any accounts that are found to be sending mail to recipients on a list that does not comply with our policies will be suspended. I strongly suggest that you review our mail policies, available at http://www.hostgator.com/mailpolicy.shtml in order to review what is, and is not possible with our accounts. Accounts that are found to be opened with the specific intent of sending e-mail, regardless of compliance with federal and state laws, and our policies, will be permanently suspended with no possibility of renewal or further accounts hosted with us. That being said, moneybrown, it appears that you are intending to not only violate our policies in regards to double-opt-in lists (which in the manner you have stated, are collected from "legit websites") please be aware that this is against our mail policy. Any accounts that are found to be the source of getting our mail gateways or servers listed with a blacklist, or are found to be owned by individuals listed in ROKSO (Register of Known Spam Operations) will be permanently suspended as well, and in the case of a ROKSO listing, we cooperate with Spamhaus to ensure that these individuals listed on ROKSO are prevented from further engaging in unsolicited commercial e-mail/bulk e-mail. If you have any questions, you are welcome to contact us at security [at] hostgator [dot] com in order to have them addressed with your specific needs. |

I am have a reseller account. I have a couple clients that need to send out about 600 emails once a month.
If I had a VPS would I be able to allow certain cpanel accounts higher that 500 email limits but also leave everyone at the 500 limit?

Yes, with a VPS or dedicated server you can set up limits as you wish.
