Default Setting up VPS account

Hello,
We are considering the VPS level 3 plan, but I have a couple of questions.

The account will be used mainly for one company and will probably host 4-5 other domains so having cPanel and WHM is important, but will not be used as a reseller account. Bandwidth and memory needs are not going to be anywhere near the limit, at least at the moment, but a Newsletter goes out every week and it is a very large mailing list (over 10,000).

My questions:
  1. With the new account, will we need to set up a custom nameservers, or does Hostgator supply a default nameserver that will work for all domains on the account?
  2. Since this is a VPS and will have root access, will we be able to change PHP.ini files to increase file upload capacity? We will be moving a large database and mailing list.
Thank you in advance for your information.

R

Default Re: Setting up VPS account

Yes, you will need to set up private name servers and you can update the php.ini as needed since you will have root access.
