Default Setting up an e-commerce site

Hi,

I'd like to hear from people who have put up an e-commerce site here at hostgator.
1) what tools did you use?
2) what problems did you experience most?
3) what was surprisingly good?
4) what kind of hosting plan do you have?

May you provide the address of your site too?

Thank you!

DDD

Default Re: Setting up an e-commerce site

1) what tools did you use?

Shovel and a rake? Do you mean software? I use x-cart.

2) what problems did you experience most?

No problems with HG. Their setup supports e-commerce sites and seems to work well.

3) what was surprisingly good?

The speed that they set stuff up, I got an SSL setup in about 30 minutes.

4) what kind of hosting plan do you have?

Been and reseller and now a dedicated.

Overall, I demand that my customers use HG and authorize.net or pay extra.

Wink Re: Setting up an e-commerce site

im using oscommerce with HG and so far so beautiful.. fast and flawless like liquid even with tons of queries my store requires. i havent encountered any technical problems regarding incompatibility with diffrent php versions and settings that i had many of them with my previous host.
