Setting Up Dedicated server as shared

Hi guys and gals.

I have had hosting with HG for sometime now and recently upgraded my account to the Elite dedicated server. Here is what I would like and see if any of you (Hostgator) staff included could do for me.

I upgraded the account because I was getting almost a million hits to my website on the former shared plan and it was making apache work too hard for the shared server.

Basically I would like my dedicated server setup EXACTLY like one the shared servers here that are available for the basic plans.

Here is why:

I have several websites but will in no way ever use even half of the resources available on this dedicated server. I do not know how to configure the whm (root) account and will most likely never login to it after its setup.

I would like to pay one of the staff members to set this up for me as a shared server so I dont ever have to login as root to do anything.

Even on the normal 'reseller' account I think I may have logged into the whm 3 times in a year.

I am willing to pay up front. I pay all of my bills at hostgator which you can verify for the year.

Here I am staring at a root account in WHM for a dedicated server and going "WTF" ? I use cpanel and maybe a couple of times may create a new hosting account through whm in a year.

I am not interested in reselling the extra space however there are others that might be. I have to have the resources, dedication, ram, etc anyway that only the dedicated server can offer. So the bill will always get paid for the server. (actually I think I set that up on subscription;-)

welcome to the family of dedicated server users. :-)
once your dedicated server is setup you would need to configure it or get it configured it the way you want it.
Just ticket the support and they would do it without any extra cost.

Also your forum member status is "pending activation" and once your account and registration is confirmed you will have the access to other forums including "dedicated server support forum" where you would find enough info to set your dedicated box up.

There are certain things you would need to take care of while being on dedicated which you can easily learn from dedicated server forum.
