Server Side Includes no longer working

I have several sites with Server Side Includes that have been running for some years. Today the SSI are not working.There are no error messages but the included files are not being displayed.

Does anyone have any ideas what has happened. I was dont some work on a new site this morning but I don't think I have made any changes that would have affected SSI.

If you don't think it's something you did, then best to try live support for help on this.
