Hi! I just signed on and I'm in the process of moving my personal domain (cherrytaco.com) over here. It's my first switch to a pay server; one of my friends hosted me before but my site was too heavy on his DSL, sooo... here I am It seems wonderful so far. Anyway, on to my question...

Is there a server side include option here? I have on several of my pages the code:

<!--#include virtual="filename_here.txt" -->

(or something much like it) and would like to know if that or something similar will work here.

My DNS just got transfered a few hours ago, so if you try to visit my site it probably won't be there yet. Anyway, I appreciate any info you can give me on server side includes! Thank you very much, my experience here so far has been flawless.

I guess I should look around before I post, LOL! I just found the following:

<!--#exec cmd="cgi-bin/randhtml.cgi"-->

Is it possible to replace the cgi file with a text file of html, so long as I use the file extension .shtml?

I'm new here myself but you should be able to do it..and like you said, use .shtml and then you can write <!--#include file="includes/blahdeblah.txt" --> or virtual etc
this site http://www.ssi-developer.net/ssi/ is pretty good for extra commands etc
I like your site....except I was listening to the Beatles and then your main pages music kicked in
oooo and your dollmaker page is brilliant......my gilfriend is dressing one now...she seems rather taken with the stockings...hmmmm <thinks>

Thanks, Alex! I'll check out that page. You viewed my site on the old server, so it's not really here yet (I changed the DNS info yesterday afternoon), but it should be here tomorrow or so, if that 48 hour thing holds true I'm busy uploading my files right now. I'm nervous about moving the forums... I've got a clean install of phpbb 2.0.6 on this server, and I'm busy adding all my mods and stuff, so I can upload the database without any trouble (without any trouble? lmao!)

LOL sorry about that music, it annoys everyone... I just keep it up because it's a trademark of my site ^_^ Plus, it's only on the Enter page, so it's no biggie

Anyway, thanks again, and I'm glad you liked my little corner of the Internet
