Default Server Life-Cycle

Just out of curiosity, down the road - say three years after the initial purchase as a dedicated server, are there ever deals/discounts offered to move to newer machine?

Obviously paying the same price three years from now for the same machine compared to what that amount would purchase new is significantly different. Even after 1 year, the way technology moves the cost I am paying for my server would go a lot further. I suppose you could purchase a new dedicated server, migrate everything and cancel the old server, but I'm sure hg wouldn't prefer that method. Similar to software assurance I would pay a little extra for some sort of hardware assurance.

Also, are there ever any discounts for purchasing multiple dedicated servers?

I am not aware of any deals/discounts offered by HostGator for upgrading servers or purchasing multiple servers.

When you upgrade to a new server, you do need to purchase a new server, migrate your sites (or have us transfer for you) and cancel the old server.

For more information you can email us at sales@hostgator.com or windows@hostgator.com
