Lol that was not my intention, just miss his posts, there's nothing better than a Serraesque post when you’re struggling to carry on working at 2am in the morning. But thanks to Gwyneth she has been filling in for his disappearance!

Morley, I certainly can't elaborate on the steps (they were actually outlined pretty thoroughly, for Serra) but perhaps you could start a thread about it in the Shared Hosting or Reseller category where more people might see it.

For all the laughter a lot of his posts provided, they've been incredibly educational about virtually every aspect of hosting and running a server.

Even when he was sneering at someone or something, he'd explain why he was sneering.

He was also really good at explaining things, even when he thought people should know them already.

Like all good teachers, he was patient with follow-up questions whether they arose from not grasping his first answer or insights that the first answer could trigger.

He never, ever kissed up to HG, which was useful and educational in itself, because it helped people new at the whole thing to understand what was good and bad about hosting firms.

Serra also provided a lot of valuable lessons about the business end of web-related businesses. These included some highly practical 'how-to's.

PS: Yeah, this does sound like a eulogy. C-SPAN ran Molly Ivins's over the weekend and Serra would appreciate her most famous insult, which several of the speakers quoted. She said of a Texas legislator: if he was any dumber, we'd have to water him twice a day like a plant. This certainly is not a reference to any forum member! It was just the kind of thing Serra would appreciate.
