Please consider allowing users to send email as if it was sending from one of the created email forwarders.
For example, if I created an email forwarder: abc@mydomain.com and email sent to it would be forwarded to my main email account myname@mydomain.com I would like to be able to send an email as if it was FROM abc@mydomain.com. A good way to possibly implement this would be... let's say I log into RoundCube webmail, and I start a new email, in the Sender dropdown, I would be able to select one of my Forwarders (if I have any set up). See the idea in my picture below: http://img380.imageshack.us/img380/2846/forwarders.png I'm not sure if this is possible, so please give me some feedback. It's an option I would love to be able to use. Last edited by atomicrabbit; 07-31-2009 at 02:49 PM. |

you can do so in roundcube!!
go to personal settings, identities, new identity, create your forwarder identity, go back to email, compose an email & you will be able to choose the identity (email address) you want to send the email from

well that was a pleasant surprise... the hostgator support said it was not possible. Now a nice feature would be to be able to do this from Outlook...
maybe be able to set up an email address like mainaccount+forwardername@mydomain.com but that's just getting complicated. Thanks for the tip, pazeh. |
