Semi-Dedicated Hosting

Hi,
I would like Hostgator to add Semi-Dedicated Hosting, so this host will be the best. The price rages can be $35-$95. I don't want everything to be so expensive. I hope Hostgator to have all of those things - http://www.xxxxxx.com/semidedicated.shtml

Hope you add it in. When Semi-Dedicated Hosting is launched, can I get to test it and maybe I get 1 account for free.

HG used to have semi-dedicated hosting, but not any more--it's kind of a dinosaur. Are you thinking of virtual private servers, which are now being rolled out here?

Nan, I would only want to have Semi-Dedicated Hosting. It is kind of a medium price.

Really? HG's plans range from $20 - $210.... which is just above their shared... and overlaps some of the dedicated....

You should get on board with a VPS plan, we stopped offering Semi Dedicates a few years back. However a VPS should work fine for you, we offer 9 levels depending on how resource intensive your scripts are you can pick accordingly. If you have any questions just let us know.

Semi dedicated is I guess a failed concept, many hosts like Hostgator used to have it before VPS became popular. Obviously the user doesn;t have to worry about server management on a semi-dedi, but there is no real way to allot a fixed quota of all resources on a semi dedi, which is often loade with heavy traffic sites. VPS has much better control on every resource, even though server management is going to be a pain.
