Selling my UK based web hosting & design part-time business

Firstly I don't intend to break any posting rules and I hope this post is allowed. If it is but it's the wrong forum I would appreciate it if someone could let me know and I will move it.

Before someone gets too excited about this, it's only a small part-time/spare time business which, from the hosting side, is not doing much - basically little more than breaking even. It's been mainly a web design business and there is potential that I have never fulfilled. The web design side of it has been around since 2002 but I didn't even have a website for it until late 2006, when I also included hosting - Hostgator has been the only reseller I have used and I am happy with the service. The reason for selling is due to my personal circumstances, it's not that I want to leave Hostgator - I am just quitting this business. In the right hands - especially if you already have a small business - this could do much more than it has done so far. You would also have a domain name (and various extensions) that has been around since 2002, which itself is a sign of longevity, and that alone is important.

I don't have a price for it so any sensible offer will be considered but I don't want to under-sell it. As I said, as hosting goes it's not making much, the business has been mainly a one-person web design business, providing mostly one-off web design jobs. However there are also a number of clients who also use the hosting service and need to regularly update their sites. When updates are very minor I do them for free, otherwise a charge applies - but this would be up to you. Occasionally there is work from customers' recommendations, and there are a couple of customers who are currently requesting more edits (one wants a quote for a new project), so the moment is ideal.

The web design updates are normally easy edits - I am not a programmer by any means and only a basic knowledge of HTML and PHP/MySQL is needed. To give you an idea, you should be able to configure/install and (to a certain extent) customize third party scripts, if you can do that then you'll be fine. Of course being with Hostgator you will be familiar with WHM, etc. You will also need to be able to do some basic Photoshop/image editing stuff when necessary.

I would prefer someone with previous/current experience but the most important thing is that the person who will take over is serious and professional in their dealing with clients, committed and efficient in dealing with any work or issues. The person also needs to be available now, as I will only be available for another two weeks approximately, but this is enough for a smooth change-over. I will provide complete information about all the aspects involved. I also have the free Enom account that comes with Hostgators accounts so this is especially suitable for another Hostgator reseller rather than someone who uses another company.

The other important thing is that the person needs to be UK based. All my clients are UK based (sometimes we need to speak on the phone) and it just wouldn't be practical if he/she was based outside of the UK.

Buy a UK number from Skype and no problems where you are.
