You could try:
https://Your_IP/cpanel You can find your IP in cPanel x3 in the left panel under: Shared Ip Address. Best Regards, |

So how did you do that? Where do you change the root WHM to always Secure? Also why isn't it that way in the first place?

If you have a dedicated server, it's in WHM-->Tweak Settings-->"Always redirect users to the ssl/tls ports when visiting /cpanel, /webmail, etc."

Whenever I try to connect securely, even when using the IP, I get a notice from Firefox stating the connection isn't secure:

If i understand your question correctly the only way round this is to buy a ssl for each of your clients domains!
If it is only for your main domain the obviously you would neeed to purchase SSL for that. There was a topic on the forums ages ago about this, might be worth a search... Hope that helps. |

Purchase a wildcard SSL, but you should have a root cPanel so you only need to use one domain. you can do clients.domain.com:2083

You're welcome to use the free self-signed SSL available through cPanel. It will pop up a message telling you it can't verify the source, but it's still a valid encrypted connection.
