Default Secure cPanel Access for Baby Croc

Hi,

I was wondering if there was a secure way to access our cPanels on the Baby Croc accounts.

Would be nice to be able to do it with the FTP connection, too.

Thanks.

Or, you could not buy anything, and go to:

Typically you'd want to replace "yourdomain.com" with your actual domain...

Thanks very much.

I see the port changes from 2082 to 2083, but I don't see the little "secure connection" icon that I usually see in my browser.

Does that just mean my browser doesn't recognize the certificate?

I may be wrong, because it is only something I read on a forum elsewhere. But:

Quote:
Actually, 2082 and 2083 both are general ports of computer. But, when you installs cPanel in your server, then cPanel itself configures the port 2082 for normal data transfer for their hosting solution and 2083 for secure data transfer.

Yeah, as long as it says https:// after redirecting you, you're secure. The certificate name might not match the domain, which will mean it's not fully trusted--but it's secure.
