Question Second domain name with baby shared hosting plan? Where should I buy a second domain?

So my hosted website is vitachoconutriment.com and I want to add another domain. I've looked at the settings and would the cPanel say both vitachoconutriment.com and my new website???

And where would be a good place to buy another domain name?

I got my first one from websitepalace for about 20 bucks a year

enom.com, godaddy.com or whomever you like. HostGator might do stand alone name registration too, I don't know. Just set the nameservers to the correct ones for your account and add the new domain as an add-on domain. The new site is then listed in add-on domains and the files for it go in the directory that cPanel creates when you add the add-on.

http://hostgator.com/domains is where you go to register them at HostGator.

I'm going to register with www.netfirms.com

But when I buy a domain name what's the process to transfer it to hostgator??

because I like hostgator's hosting not netfirms but I want to register at netfirms

You don't want to transfer it to hostgator. You'll just want to change the nameservers to your hostgator nameservers from the netfirms interface.

It's less confusing to say "change the nameservers", as Matt did.

Ok i changed both nameservers of my godaddy site but now the site changed from being parked to being empty

Does this mean my change to hostgator was a success?

How do I add it as a new addon domain when I try to add it it says

" Error from park wrapper: Sorry, you are not allowed to add any more than (0) addon domains! The domain below was not setup! "

I'm going to contact support@hostgator.com
