Good day,
Ridgeline is currently experiencing an inbound flood of between 35 mbps and 81 mbps. We are currently working to mitigate this, and will keep you updated until the traffic subsides to managable levels. Thanks. |

Hello,
Unfortunately, the main server's IP has been nulled. Due to the custom IP rotation scheme we have in place, only a small subset of the server's sites are affected by this. I will keep you guys updated as the situation progresses. |

Most of my sites are down. This is the first time in the 2 years I have been with HG.
What is "flooding" and how does it "null" the IP? Thanks. My clients are calling me and I am not sure what to say. What do you guys say to your clients?

Hello,
The server is currently receiving a very large amount of traffic to the main IP that exceeds the amount our datacenter can filter. As a result they need to block all traffic to the IP to maintain the stability of their network. That's what's referred to as a null route. Unfortunately there is not much we can do until the traffic drops to a level that our datacenter can begin filtering again. We'll pass along any updates as we receive them. |

Good day everyone,
The server is still being flooded, but the server's null was removed a while ago. I believe I found the destination of the attack however, and mitigated it with a combo of iptables and mod_security. I will keep an eye on this server, and will pass it off to our night administrators so they can keep an eye on this as well. Thanks. Last edited by GatorDavid; 02-01-2009 at 05:51 PM. |

It came back, but now none of my emails are working.
There is something going on for sure. Any ideas? Sites are down again. http://treadmill-workstation.com up again... hmm there is something going on for sure. I just got flooded with emails, so that is good, but my main account keeps getting the one same email now over 20 times! I am not getting any new email from this account it is all sitting on the server.
