Default Restoring Full CPANEL Backup

I have a few questions.

1. How long can your data center run in the event of a power outage?

2. If I upload a full CPANEL (11.15.0-RELEASE_18264) backup of my site from another host, will an admin restore that for me? I'm familiar with CPANEL, and the individual backup options. What I am referring to is the full backup option, and whether you will restore that for me after I transfer it here.

3. Is WHM what I'd use to manage accounts? Is there a shell access option?

Thanks very much.

Their datacenter is The Planet. You can read more about the facilities here:

Yes, but you should request and confirm you're on a cPanel 11 (not 10) server for maximum compatibility.

Yes, and yes.

From ThePlanet.com:
In an extended power outage, on-site diesel generators at our data centers can run indefinitely. Power generators receive regular preventative maintenance to ensure the will continue to function in any emergency.

You only use WHM if you have a dedicated server or Reseller account.

Yes you can request SSH

Thanks for your answers. I really do appreciate your help.

I'm assuming there are other help forums here, and I just don't see them until I get signed up with a reseller acount.

I'm a new customer now. When I placed my order, I requested that I be set up with a CPANEL 11 server.

At this moment, that is my concern. I have various web sites to move here, and have cpanel 11 backups. I don't think it will be a problem if I end up with cpanel 10, as the backups are merely zipped & compressed with common tools (I think).

Anyways, I'm looking forward to seeing how this gator thang will work out for a yankee!

Go for WHMCS as its a much easier and more powerfull solution that is also free for reseller accounts.

I think Willow is confusing WHM and WHMAP. WHMCS and WHMAP are reseller programs you can use to automatically sell domains and hosting on your website. WHM is the admin area for cPanel that Target was likely asking about.

You are absolutely right! I was thinking of the OP managing his company through WHM Autopilot and was suggesting WHMCS instead

Thanks for your input. Someday I'll have the time to thoroughly check out WHMCS.

I ended up on a CPANEL 11 server, so the future looks bright.

Soon I hope to get full access to the forums. Yes, I requested that through email to W.

I have a problem getting through a dozen emails each morning. It must be a large burden when you admin servers.
