Two questions about transferring from another reseller:
You tell us how to create the backup, but how do we restore? And what happens if we've already created a full backup (that option appears to be crossed out in red on your backup.html page w/o explanation) from our old site, can that not be imported/restored back to you? Can you only restore home directories and then MYSQL databases separately? Thanks |

There is a textbox to restore a backup in the same place as where you generate a backup.
The reason the option is crossed out on our tutorial page is because that is not the option we recommend using. You should backup and restore your databases and files seperately. It's really much easier than it seems. ![]() -Justin |

I have restored my home directory and mysql databases. I get the password error mentioned in your tutorial faq page.
When I fix the passwords, which password do I use? The one from my old host or the one from hostgator? Thanks, Jeff |

You need to recreate the database users and then adjust your script config file to reflect the changes.
