Default Restore a full Backup / cpmove file

Can I get access to the "restore a full backup / cpmove file" whm feature?

Most of the sites I host are mission critical, so I 've setup two servers with DNS failover to switch servers in case a cpu burns up, or any unforseen circumstances arise.

However, my clients are making frequent changes to the site, so I'd like to mirror the servers monthly (if not weekly). I've been able to transfer my files from server to server using cpanel ftp backup features (a huge time saver), but it looks like all the options to restore an account off the site directory have been disabled?

Any ideas?

You only get access to this yourself if you have a dedicated. If you don't, then you can move the backup over using FTP (as you mentioned in your post), then submit a ticket asking HG to restore it.

Here we go.. another 'mission critical' site on shared hosting... you'd think it was like a NASA site or something...

Figured out a reasonable way of doing it.

Use Cpanel to FTP full account from one server to the next, log into the second server and run a tar -zxvf filename.tar.gz

then just move the files into their specified directories.

Figured I'd post just incase someone else has the same problem.

You can only do that for your main reseller account.. you only get SSH access for you main account.

And it doesn't update the databases associated with the site.

If HG lets you do FTP to FTP transfers that could make it real easy.

FlashFXP is suppose to be able to do that.

Well, you can't blame wwwc21, I mean really, it's wwwc21's customers that are STUPID. wwwc21 is just providing a service, yes, a bottom of the barrel, discount and dollar store version of hosting, but still just a service.

If I had a mission critical website, I wouldn't be contacting a reseller to host it. Heck, I'd think twice about contacting myself. I mean I'd have to have a GOOD sales pitch before I'd take my word for it!
