Hi!



Is charge of 15$ is normal practise for restoring from backup at hostgator lately?



I am a reseller here and I was very surprised when on-line helpdesk sent me to this page http://hostgator.com/restore.php . This is not nice and I am never going to pay that much for it. Fact is I am going to set all my new sites on my other hosting provider, not hostgator. You getting to expensive.

Yes, it is 15 dollars to restore a site from backup. You are free to backup your own site at anytime via cpanel. Because we are growing at a very rapid rate it is impossible for us to take hours out of the day from our level 3 techs for site restorations, without having a fee. There are easy ways around this, back up your site whenever you are making major changes that can cause the need for one of these restorations. Be careful not to delete things that you need. Restorations are a service we provide, and unless the problem was our fault or server-error the fee is applied. Sorry that you are leaving and I hope you understand why there is this charge.
