After asking live chat if it was possible (as a Reseller) to be notified of any planned maintenance or current outages via email rather than having to check the forums daily.
I was greeted with a no, HG only posts such info in its forums. Appreciated it does not take much time to check HG forums first thing in the morning, however it would be great not to have to worry about doing such a thing so we can can concentrate on building our empires instead. Crossing off the little things like this that can be automated equal more time for other things. Outages and network issues occur any time of day, so it would be great to be told of this via email should it happen. Perhaps HG could set up a mailing list of sorts perhaps one for each resellers server they have. Post the links to them in the resllers section of the forum so resellers can add their emails to whatever server they need to add it to. Once HG update the forums they can just pop an email over using the mailing list facility. Done. This is easy enough to impliment and would take next to no time to set up. |

It's a shame this is a spammer because I've also suggested this in the past.

it's been suggested in the past many times, by many people and the answer is always: No. You can subscribe to the General Announcement and Outages form and get an email that way, but it doesn't really tell you much good, you still have to log into the form to see what's going on.
It would be supremely useful and helpful if HG could somehow maintain a list of which resellers are on what servers and push an email to them when something's going on with their server, but I realize that would be a logistical nightmare with how many servers and clients they have. |
