First and Foremost I would like to say that I've done alot of Research on Reselling which is what i'm wanting to do and thus far HostGator is by far the best i've come across both on a Buisness Level and a Personal level. With that I say keep up the good work.

On to my Questions:
1. I was wondering mainly about, if I do not have a domain I obviously need to register one, so my question is this, Is there away to combine my Domain registration price with my hosting package if i'm going through paypal?

2. Taxes, I was wondering if there are taxes or anything of that sort, Basically hidden prices.

3. If I do become a Reseller... On the WHM you can create domains... but i'm not sure how that works exactly... Do I still have to Registar it or How exactly does that work if you don't mind me asking.

I believe that's all I was wondering at the moment, If I come up with Anything else I'll be sure to ask. Thanks in advance.
(_Special K_)

EDIT: I appologize, I just found an answer to one of my questions. "2. Taxes, I was wondering if there are taxes or anything of that sort, Basically hidden prices." The Answer is no.

If you are going to use paypal you can either paypal us $15 to purchase the domain name after signing up, or you can purcahse it from somewhere like www.namecheap.com that seels them for $8.88 and takes paypal.

There are no taxes, hidden fees, or any other extra fees other then the set monthly rate which is determined on the package you pick.

There are 2 steps to hosting a domain name.

The first step is you must pay to register them with us or elsewhere. nobody gets domain names free and the cheapest youll ever find it for is around 8 bux.

After the domain name is purchased you need to host it. Thats where the reseller accounts comes in "create domain names" you create the hosting for the domain name that you already purchased or will be purchasing.

I have additional questions about this... I'm a real newbie on the reseller issues.
can the steps 1 and 2 be automated? e.g if a perspective client wanting a site requests a specific domain name, are there scripts that will help manage this and submit the name for registration - or is this process manually managed... ?
Thanks

From what I've researched about it -- you would need to first become a reseller of domains -- there are companies out there that allow you to do this. However, there are membership fees to do this. But I would imagine if you joined you'd get some kind of script allowing you to take the data. Whether it can be automated or not, I don't know. You CAN however automate the billing process. Try http://www.nixt.org/ -- it's free Good luck!
