I am thinking about getting a Reseller Account so that I can offer hosting to clients for whom I make websites for.
Some clients already own their domain names and are in the process of purchasing private SSL certs from elsewhere, could they be set to point at my hostgator reseller account, freeing me to offer hosting to them myself? Thanks very much. |

Yes, they would only need to set the nameservers to your nameservers to use the domains on your reseller server. The SSL certificates can be purchased elsewhere but HG support would have to install them and there is $10 charge for the installation. You would also need to set them up on a private IP address which could entail an additional charge per month.
