Question Reseller question

Just some questions I have about some of the reseller package features.

1. Is it explained after sign-up how to intergrate the ENom reseller system in to your site?

2. Are the site templates available for download after you have signed up? They look rather nice and I'd probably be using one of them on my site but just wondering how those get accessed after you signed-up.

3. I saw something about e-mail limits.. how does that apply to mailing lists?? That looks like it could be limited to the size of mailing lists.

Thanks for your responses.

1. The enom site has extensive documentation on using their api. Many people use whmautopilot to sell domains with their packagesm, so there is good support at whmautopilot.com with a manual and support forums. Aditionally, the people here (fellow resellers) are very generous and I am sure you can find someone that will help you if you need it.

2. The site templates are available for download. Email support after your reseller access is granted and they will give you the link.

3. There is a pop email limit of 200 per hour and on some boxes 30 connections per hour. This limit is not in place if you use mailman for your mailing lists. Mailing lists are limited to 5k (or 5000 addresses). Anything larger than that would need to be approved by Host Gator.

Question Re: Reseller question

Ahhh sounds good...

Another question... I see HostGator mentions a free Merchant Account but that its just a Paypal account. Now, aren't most Paypal accounts free? I mean it doesn't sound like anything that amazing unless I'm missing something, anyone care to explain what that means?

Yes all paypal accounts are free. There is nothing special about what they say. What is special is that it works nicely with whmautopilot as an automated solution to accept payments and provision orders. There is nothing wrong with having a paypal account, but most people agree that it should not be the only solution that you offer. Paypal requires people to sign up, and some people may not want to, so you might want to offer something like 2Checkout (one time fee of 49.00 but the transaction fees are high) or authorize.net (transaction fees lower, but there is a minimum processing fee of 25.00 per month and you are required to have a dedicated ip and private ssl with a certificate).

Wink Re: Reseller question

Ok, that is what I thought... I already have a paypal account that I use with Ebay. Tho I suspect it would probably be a good idea to make a 2nd account used exclusively for the Webhosting.

Although it would not be required, you can if you want. That is what I did to keep finances separate.

My country is not listed at Paypal. Does it mean I cannot use paypal? Is there any way out?

I`m a bit confused about about paypal and whm integration. I have a business paypal account, which I opened a few hours ago.

I have added a bank account, which will take several days for verification. Do I also need to add my credit card to the paypal account? I would rather not.

I read somewhere, the paypal account has to be verified to work correctly with autopilot, if not then it would faul. I`m assuming then I must add my credit card to paypal?

Also, I would appreciate some suggestion with regards a payment processor. I am selling locally, not expecting to make a vast profit. Something that is viable for me, work through autopilot, processes online payments and can deposit the funds to a bank account if possible.

PayPal is the only way people can pay through me. I trust it 100%.

To be verified I think you only need a bank account.
I have both an account and a credit card.

For PayPal to work you have to turn in on in WHM AP and enter your PayPal username. (email)

I know everything about PayPal, feel free to post more questions. PM me for quickest response.

If you open your whm control panel and look at payment gateways, on the left you will see all the options if you go down to paypal and click the activate link it sets it up and IF you already have paypal, all you should have to do is add you email address on the top line labled

I am not 100% sure, but I believe you can use paypal now without being a member. Just paying directly by CC or Debit directly, like paying for anything else online. Correct me if im wrong though, since im a member and haven't had to use this.

I'm trying to figure it out but, yes. You can not be a member. I haven't managed to get this to work right with my WHM Ap yet though.

You are correct, this changed within the last year. (And a welcome change!) I believe (not sure though) they still have to sign up to participate in any type of subscription billing.

^^yes indeed, for paypal subscriptions, a person must be a paypal member with a CC on file. I run a template club site using paypal subscriptions.

I believe you can just wait for the bank account to be verified.....at Paypal somewhere in your overview it will say if your account is verified...under your email address I think...Yes, "Status" will change I believe..

Don't they do the two deposit thing where they put two deposits in the account and then prompt you for the amounts?

Ha! That caught me off guard...it's been such a long time since I signed up!

I think that is the way it went...two deposits....you log in and fill in the deposit amounts....93% sure that was it...
