Reseller Question: How does selling online affect my taxes?

I've noticed in other topics that people are inquiring about taxes in buying the account, but what about selling on. Would I have to declare my reseller account as a Self-employed business? I would be greatful for any clarification on this matter, and one other: What is the difference between Private SSL and Shared SSL?

How you claim your income from hosting depends on several factors such as whether you plan to claim deductions and how much you make. If you don't make much (not sure on the total limit) and don't plan to take any deductions, you can claim it as a hobby. I sell gift items, but I don't make much (only made about a grand last year) so I just took what little losses I had and claimed it as a hobby. Had I made a lot more and had more deductions, I would have filed a schedule C for business income.

As for the SSL question, this is from our FAQ:

Q. What is the difference between shared ssl and private ssl?

A. A shared ssl displays as https//ip/~yourusername/ A private ssl would display as https://www.yourdomain.com in the address bar.
