Question Reseller end user support?

G'day,

I've noticed a few web host providers offering reseller accounts with (anonymous) end user technical support. Does HostGator offer this, or is it planning to in the near future?

I just imagine it would be handy as there are a -few- things that as a reseller you can't do without root access.

Cheers

Then all you need to do is submit a ticket to support and they will do it depending on what it is

10.) Reseller: Client Responsibility
Resellers are responsible for supporting their clients. HostGator does not provide support to our Reseller's Clients. If a reseller's client contacts us, we reserve the right to place the client account on hold until the reseller can assume their responsibility for their client. All support requests must be made by the reseller on their clients' behalf for security purposes. Resellers are also responsible for all content stored or transmitted under their reseller account and the actions of their clients'. HostGator will hold any reseller responsible for any of their clients actions that violate the law or the terms of service.
As you can see we are happy to help out the reseller, but unfortunately it gets too difficult helping out your clients. They won't be able to provide some of the information we may need to resolve your/their issue.

hi,
I Agree with HG not to provider end user support on reseller account.

why should a good company provide support to your client's.
Generally reseller want to make thousands out of NOTHING :-)

for a small reseller fee they want all their headaches to be handled by reseller provider, pretty bad, they just want to sell and run, and cost the providing company many times in providing support to their clients' than your monthly payment.

If its your client you handle it, and ask assistance on what you are not able to fix, thats the way a sound reseller account goes.

There are some companies that do it...I remember seriously looking at them before deciding on Gator (and when I was still on reseller plans).

hi,
one of my customer came crying that he's about to loose his all clients, cause some cheap hosting company in India offered him end user support and a couple of months later the provider sent a mailer to all his clients with a PRICE EXPOSE.

I don't say end user support is not possible elsewhere but they are many CRAP players doing such stuffs, so WATCH before you jump on something slippery
