Default Reseller-clients - any support for them

When things go wrong its nice to think support might be there 24 hours a day.

I think my clients would feel the same. Is there a way my clients can get that service here if I should be travelling for a week?

I may be willing to let my clients know there site is here which means I can't really charge more than the single use rates. But I wanted a bundle so I could have 1 to experiment with and know in advance the features of some of the groupware and ecommerce packages.

Anyone with suggestions my email is k_graham@hotmail.com

As a reseller, you would be responsible for the support for your end users. Host Gator would be unable to provide support to them directly.

There are companies that you can hire to provide support 24-7 or just during the hours in which you are unavailable.

Well the way I see if, if you are going to resell webspace.. you should be responsible for taking care of the customers as they are buying the hosting space from you. This is part of being a reseller

Well you are somewhat correct but this means I would be providing less help than acting as an affiliate which is how I did my last 1/2 dozen. If I act as an affiliate my client gets 24 hour support. On the negative side I don't have quick setup capability to all those programs provided in Fantastico to get used to the intricacies I have to plough through a manual install on a home test server.

Also I picked up a few .info names when they were giving 25 free. In some cases I got them in the names of a few larger companies near me that actually don't have web sites. I thought to put a simple xoops site together along with perhaps phprojekt and offer them a free trial. This is the potential benefit of a reseller vs affiliate.

I had thought perhaps HostGator would see more benefit than loss to my clients accessing this forum etc.
