Hello,
The service hands down is phenomenal! But - here it comes - when will HostGator increase the bandwidth for resellers so they are able to be more competitive? You gave your dedicated servers a slick increase which was awesome. How about the reseller getting a good bump too? 5TB? I had to ask. Thanks for the excellent service though! Shaun |

Are any of your clients even reaching above 1TB of bandwith?

At the pricing point of reseller hosting I think it would be unwise for HostGator to increase this.

@avalanch @zomex @wyredwing - The last reseller we had with HostGator; there were many accounts (free hosting at that) that could have easily did 100 GB in bandwidth a month. It sucks having to suspend them after the limits we set, but such as life.
From a business perspective, more bandwidth on a HostGator Reseller account would be better. You are entitled to your opinion but so am I. Most of the reseller competitors offer a lot more space and bandwidth and it sells. You know it does. That was the entire point of asking. It would help out the resellers a lot more as this is one of HostGator's large money makers. Understandably there is no such thing as unlimited and this thread wasn't geared towards that. It was geared towards getting a little more room to grow a business while using any of the reseller plans HostGator offers. I think very highly of HostGator but I am not afraid to ask questions. I have a another dedicated server I wouldn't mind changing over to HostGator, but for now I will just wait and see what happens. Again, it was just a question. Thanks for showing interest in my thread. Shaun Last edited by smc_; 07-07-2011 at 12:13 AM. Reason: typo* |

No in practice it is much more wiser to give resellers such opportunities, as smc already said "most of the reseller competitors offer a lot more space and bandwidth and it sells". So You really need to think on it.

I've used a few reseller hosts all priced more than HostGator's package and advertising more space but HostGator's support and server reliability has been the best I've found. It's not about how much space you offer but instead the whole experience, HostGator offers one of the best experiences I've found which is why there's no need for them to increase something that ultimately can't be used.

I also think that HG could create a new Reseller Plan, the Platinum, with 300 GB HD, and 2000 Bandwitch, obviusly with the price increased.
