Hey guys I currently got a shared account with hostgator and I have a few websites setup as addon domains but I'd like my sites to be setup as individual websites not as addon domains.
I've been reading on a few forums about people with the same problem as mine and a lot of people suggest a small resellers account. Anyway I was just looking for some feedback on what people here thought about it. Good Idea or anything I should know about? Thanks |

In order for them to not be an addon account, you would have to get a reseller. Then you would be able to get them their own cpanel and stuff.
orrrrr you could just setup more than one shared account and have each domain have its own account. depends on how many domains you have. Jordan

What is the reason for this? Is it because you need separate cPanel logins or something else?

Yes I would like to have separate cpanels.

Then yes, the reseller account is your best option.

I do it... works perfectly. The reseller setup is so much more powerful for me than in the past, when I tried to deal with multiple addon domains.

its probably old by now but reseller is a great deal... plus also you get access to whm which allows more dns controls plus some other good features

I concur. I created a reseller account 3 years ago because I wanted to control my domains separately. I haven't looked back since.
