Hello,
I did do a search on this, but none of the posts I found mention this issue. I am interested in transfering a reseller account from another host. I did look at the transfer request page https://secure.hostgator.com/resellertransfer.php , but what if some of my clients have changed their passwords? On sign-up I give them a temporary password and tell them to change it for security. The WHM username and password are not enough? Thanks for the info in advance. Ray |

The account passwords are needed for the cpanel transfer to set them up the same as they were on the old server.
Probably the easiest way (although by no means the only one) to address the ones you don't have currently listed would be to reassign them new passwords and notify the client of the same. Some of the passwords they run on are pretty horrifically insecure anyway, and it's not a bad idea to occassional require password changes.

Yeah, I was afraid that was going to have to happen.
Thank for your help. |

Another option can be :-
You can use the generate full backup option from your client's cpanel at old host using the remote ftp server and use your hostgator account username and password. this will create the full backup and place it on your account here, then you can then ticket support to restore those accounts for you and place under your reseller account. This would retain your clients' passwords. |
