Renewing Domain Names

I just purchased three domain names through hostgator. What is the renewal process like? Will I be notified beforehand and told who to send a check to?

Layne,

you will be notified by email about one month before the domain expires. Info will be in the mail.
If possible, I think it's always a good idea to keep track of your domains yourself too.
