Default Rename account:

It's almost finished!

Can you rename a package in the WHM?
The names are different in WHMAP and now I realize they must be the same. My one and only servers name is 'Hosting' in WHMAP with a different name in WHM.
I guess that I could create new packages in WHM with the name 'Hosting_Something' but I was thinking of something easier.

Hi Maddog.

You can rename domains, however you'll need to request sales@hostgator.com do this for you. It's an easy fix!

Okay, I finally figured out how to rename the server in WHMAP - duh me!
How can I autoinstall a new request?
My server names come back in email as 'ns1' and 'ns2' with nothing following it. Why is the rest being stripped off?

I think it finally sunk in my thick brain.
If someone goes to my site an orders hosting (via WHMAP) their site is NOT available until I set it up in WHM. WHMAP just keeps track of billing etc. while the actual hosting is controled in WHM. Is this right?
I understand that if I have a dedicated server (too much $'s right now) that the user can get instant setup with no intervention on my part.

You can also acheive instant setup with WHMAP on a reseller account if it is set up properly. In order for the autoinstall feature from WHMAP to work correctly, the package names must be the same in both WHM and WMPAP. (i.e. If the package in WHM is resellername_packagename it must be set up in WHMAP as resellername_packagename.)

Finally got it working! JZ sent me a list of things to check and I got to the end of the post and it hit me. All the problems were caused by the Pay by Mail in WHMAP. Once that was pointed out all was fixed!
Thanks JZ ...
