Default Remove the Ads in Cpanel

I don't know if it's a one-day thing or permanent but I was very annoyed to find that such a place as my cpanel has advertisements. I've only been with hostgator for a couple of days and the primary reason I chose hostgator is because there cpanel was the same as my old host's. It is very misleading especially as in the demo cpanel those ads aren't there.

If this is permanent and non-removable I will be switching over to another hosting company. I know it doesn't seem to bother some but for hosting space that I pay for I'd like there to be no ads. ( template monster and the like. )

Just a little dissapointed :\~

There's obviously a reason you left your old host. Hostgator is one of the most reliable hosts you can find. Would you rather have ads in your cPanel, or a host without ads, but the server is down all the time?

Or the OP could run Firefox with both Adblock and Adblock Plus and would have no idea the ads are there.

Yeah, I run Firefox with AdBlock plus enabled on all websites, even my own, that way I see no ads at all anywhere.

It is great, websites also load faster.

I keep Adblock on, as well, because it catches the few that slip through Adblock plus.

I cant see how you can make that comparisment, your a professional host displaying advertisings at your customer looks more like spammy free host then a professional hosting firm.

Also I dont like it when firms have default 404 pages and such that will advertise there own name I find that rather extreemly unprofessional.

That's how it is, deal with it... there's other hosts that don't do this that would be willing to get your business....

Then change them... the topic has already been beat to death around here.... at least beat it some more in that same forum if you're gonna do it....

Do I think the ads are a great idea? No. Do I think Hostgator has better uptime than most other hosts, even the ones without ads? Yes, I do. I'm not saying the ads lead to better uptime, but that you have the choice: stick with HG and the ads, or find a host without them. But it will be hard finding one with as much uptime, in my experience.

The ads don't show up if you use the control panel via https.
