Default Registry rocket error?

Hi guys,

I've purchased a HG hatchling account yesterday and I transferred my domain from a different hosting provider to hostgator. I got redirected to a site called registryrocket and I transferred my domain. When I purchased the transfer I got some text in my webbrowser saying that it worked, but I have never received an email from hostgator/registryrocket about my domain.

I tried to log into my registryrocket account but it is giving me the following error:

--------
Error: Domain name not found
--------

Am I overconcerned and does it take several hours to create a registryrocket account, or did something really went wrong?

gr michiel

Just contact support, the registry rocket thing seems to be flaky some times. Mostly, things go fine with the transfer, so no need to worry about that, but the access and account details are some times a problem. It also takes about a week for transfers to actually complete.

Just don't freak out about it, some people see the whole world ending, but its just a clerical problem... not some evil plot. Support should be able to fix it right up.

Thanks for swift the reply

I'm not the administrative contact, my previous webhost is. Does that mean that my registryrocket account will activate shortly after my previous webhost has given clearance for the transaction?

I'm really concerned that my domain will beome unlocked, rgistryrocket forgets to lock it again and some bummed hijackerwill take it.

Unlocking the account is not really a problem. Someone still needs to accept the transfer. Even if it is hijacked, you can still get it back.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Just let support know you have issues, so they can address them. The process is fairly bullet proof, so don't stress over it.
