Default Redirecting Parked Domains

Hi folks!
I'm a brand new, "fresh in the water", joined today, never posted HostGator member.

Is it possible to point the DNS of my Parked Domains to my new acount with HostGator before the main account is pointed?

I'm moving my site here but my domain is with my old web host. One of those things where you had to register the domain before you could get a site. It is in my name, but is being moved (hopefully) to MyDomain.com. Two of the parked domains are already there. Those are the ones I'd like to redirect. I have a feeling the old host is going to take their time and it would be nice to have the Parked domains up and running.

Thanks for your advice!

That should work, as far as I understand

Yup, it worked like a charm. One of my parked domains is already pointing to the HostGator site. Only one concern is my old host releasing a domain. If that goes well, then I'm all set.

I'm so glad to be here. My setup couldn't have been easier and the support and people are fantastic. Nice place ya got here. <g>

Your old host does NOT have to release the domain, just have them change the namesever to HG's and fight with the domain move later. In fact, it would be faster to do it that way. Once you start a transfer, it could take up to two weeks before you could change the namesevers. So change them BEFORE you ask for the domain.

Thank you. The domain transfer has already been set in motion. They're moving from my old host to MyDomain.com. I have already entered the DNS there when the domain is moved.

My old host has been sold and I didn't want to stay. I have my doubts that a change in DNS would be made by them if I requested. Sure am glad I found HostGator.

Yea, I was very happy when I moved. HG is really much better than most.
