Quick question about domain registration

Hi, if I do domain registration through you guys, is it a private registration? I don't want my contact information out in the public.

You should contact support or sales (at) hostgator.com for a definitive answer. From previous posts I believe that it is possible to add the privacy option to your registration. I'm not sure of the cost. It is not necessary to register your domain with HG to have an account here. You can use any registrar you wish and set the nameservers to the HG nameserver to point to the account here.

Private registration can be requested by e-mailing sales@hostgator.com. The cost is $10/year plus any associated registration costs.

For example, to register exampledomain.com with private registration it would be a total of $25 per year. $15 for the registration, plus $10 for privacy guard.
