Questions about your MySQL servers

What is Hostgators policy on MySQL connections for an account. What I mean is on my current provider, they allow you to have a max of 10 connections to the DB at a time, which is useless for my sites. Is there a limit to the number of connections on a shared plan?

And just to be clear, that means more than 25 people can be on your site at once. Each connection a visitor makes when loading a page should typically last half a second.
