Default Questions Server Loads

I was wondering about server loads around here. The webhost I am currently using, which I hope to leave, just loads people onto the server, and it causes my site to suffer. Has anyone around here had a problem like that, or does Host Gator put a realistic amount of people on each server?

I've had a shared site here for almost a year and never noticed any problems with it loading.

Ok, cool! The Cpanel and the generous plans here are too hard to resist, so I think I will host here in the future.

HG is quick to suspend users who are abusing CPU usage when an issue is brought to their attention... a quick search will reveal lots of rants from the suspended users...

I was on a shared plan here for probably about a year and every week on Mondays, right after 24 (my site is 24fans.net) the site was hammered, because I was the first site to have the next week preview up, and would cause the server load to go up pretty high. It lasted like that for a few months until I basically knew I would be suspended at any time and was ok with it when it did happen.

Now I'm on a dedicated and am awaiting the start of season 7 of 24 to see how the server handles it.

It's one of the ones they don't have listed, the celeron with a gig of ram and an 80 gig hard drive.

Server loads are great!
I know on the server I'm on I've never seen a load over 2, which is great!

My site, being dynamically generated by PHP & mySQL runs nice and speedy with only 1 period of downtime over the past 4 months (downtime was for about 15 minutes).

Can't speak about the service tho, I've never had to deal with the service department.
I can say setup is very fast and almost immediate (on shared hosting plans).
