I run a UBB.x forum with about 3K members over at Infopop. I'm looking to move to a new host and covert to another board. So far you guys look to be the best.

I noticed on your features list there is an instant forum. What type is it ? nuke ? Could I import my board into it ?

Would you have another suggestion for a board ? There seems to be a ton out there.

Thanks,
Dan

How much bandwidth is your forum using a month? How many posts a day?

Lately we've been running around 15-20 gigs a month on bandwidth with about 300 posts per day.

I was thinking of getting vbullentin but I saw you had an option for a board already. I guess it's phpbb right ?

Personally I like phpbb the best.

Forums are the most server intensive type of sites there are. If you have a forum that is pushing 20 gigs a month bandwidth it's going to be using more resources then a normal site pushing 130 gigs bandwidth a month.

Your site sounds like it needs a semi dedicated solution especially if you plan on growing.

I didn't see an option for semi-dedicated or did I miss it ? What would be the price tag on that one ?

We don't sell them that often, but when we do they are $75 a month. If your interested it please email sales@hostgator.com and if there's any openings we'll get you setup on one.
