Default Questions! lol

Ok, so pretty much right off the bat, hostgator is probably the best host i've seen, I use Windows, and i'm alittle confused about the Linux and Windows hosting, what is the difference? I'm guessing since I run Windows purchasing the Linux one is pointless?

And now onto the bandwidth, wow, amazing, 6k gigs? Ok, so I want to have videos saved on my diskspace to be streamed on my site, that takes up bandwidth correct? I'm going to be having ALOT of vids on my site, but none will be more then lets say 3 mins long (its a tutorial site for JROTC). Will it be enough?

The type of hosting plan (Windows or Linux) has nothing to do with what OS you run on your local computer. It just refers to what OS the server runs. Unless you specifically need Windows specific file types such as ASP.net then it doesn't matter.

As for the plan sizes, video does use a lot of bandwidth but it would depend on how much traffic you get to determine if you would have any problems with the account. As long as your site doesn't use too many server resources (such as from too many people accessing at once using too many CPU cycles) you would be fine.

You might contact sales or abuse and ask them. You would probably be fine with the bandwidth but more likely to use too many resources before you would ever use all the bandwidth.
