Default Question on VPS (i am on shared Business atm)

Hi there.

I am looking to move from Shared Business plan to VPS, because my site runs a few plugins that are power hungry and i was told i be better off moving to a VPS even thought i don't have loads of traffic atm. So this is is what i am looking to do.

i have a few questions first:

1: I am looking at starting off at Level 3 with cpanel BUT i am not sure if 768 MB of Ram will be ok for my site. Is there a way to see how much my site is using atm on the Shared Business plan (i how its shared ram, but i mean how much just my site is using atm)

2: Can HG move my site from the Shared Business plan to the VPS (including all stats and email address/filters and other settings that has been setup in cpanel to the cpanel on the VPS?

Thanks and i look forward to your reply.

cPanel base system will use a large chunch of RAM which your current mem usage won't account for on a shared server.

Yeah i have taken that into account, which is one of the reason on why i asked if, there is a way to see how much my shared hosting account in using ATM then that way, i can judge if its going to be ok (after i added extra to cover the cpanel that is)

What kind of platform does your site run on and how much traffic does it get?

133,000 hits seems a lot for 2,700 unique visitors - how many page views are you getting each month?

Yeah, i thought it would be.
Just need to wait for them now to get back to me with the other question i asked.
Might send them a email too, as i need a quick reply on this.
I am also asking around too, to see what others say and also how quick i get a reply and the manner of there reply too, as customer support means a lot to me .

Greetings,

The upgrade from a shared plan(business) to our VPS's *with* cPanel are provided free as a courtesy during the upgrade. This needs to take place within 30 days of the upgrade, but we'll certainly take care of the migration of your full cPanel(Emails, stats, configurations).

Feel free to PM me here on the forums if you have additional questions or concerns before proceeding.

Best Regards,
