Wow, I can't make heads or tails out of that. Its like one of those pictures with the guys walking on the wall where then end up in the same place they started.

Anyway, hotmail is not a client, its a service. An email client would be Outlook or Thunderbird.

Translation for Serra and JoshEH:
- He has a hotmail account AND and an email account at jctowner.com, which is hosted at HG;
- Outbound mail from HG fails to reach its destination, except;
- Outbound mail from HG succeeds if it is sent as a Reply to an incoming mail; and
- He doesn't use a client: he uses webmail.hostgator.com to both send and receive.

I'd say this needs a ticket.

A ticket is a support reuqest http://support.hostgator.com/

Are you able to send from your HG email to any other email addresses which are NOT hosted at Hotmail?

This is currently an issue with Hotmail that a big majority of our servers are having at the moment. You would need to contact Hotmail and have them fix it as emails will send from the server just fine, it's just that they never reach their destination. This has been a major problem over the past week or so now.
