I spoke to your live support about this, and thought I'd post here to get another opinion.
I found your service through Webhosting Forum and alot of good reviews suggest to me to give this service a shot. In the process of moving all my sites and noticed that the facility for me to change the timezone isnt obvious. So I asked LiveSupport and they tell me that you CANNOT change peoples timezones, and that I would have to use Dallas (I think he/she said) timezone? I find this hard to believe to be honest, you offer your service internationally and you can't expect customers to abide to one timezone surelly? I have scripts that rely heavily on my time zone, British GMT. Can you tell me if this really isn't possible as I am going to have to cancel if so. For the record I have used several US hosts in my time and ALL of them have been able to set my account to my timezone. Thanks, T. |

If the script is pulling the time off of the server, then yes it is going to be texas. You then add whatever time to it to make it the correct time. +- hours. That is how most scripts, such as vbulletin work. A user sets there time zone and it pulls the server time then add or subtracts.

Hi Gator,
I appreciate the help. I am using Joomla at the moment for example, and it has an "offset" option in its configuration, but its greyed out? (something I've never seen before). Is it possible to set this else where on my account? Or are u aware of a way to change Joomla in some way that allows me to enter my own offset? |

In that section it offers a dropdown list of timezones, of which I selected GMT.
Below it however is a "Server Offset" option, with a small field that has "6" in it and its greyed out. When I post on my forum (which is Joomlaboard) its listing as follows: [username; 25-11-2005, 17:11:25] That was posted a few minutes ago, its now midnight here. Any ideas? Thanks, |

Joomlaboard has it's own time offset setting.
In Joomla administration, select Components->joomlaboard forum-> joomlaboard configuration>Board Time Offset |
