Question about Domain Ownership/Registration

Hello. I purchased a shared plan and registered a domain name (the domain name did not exist until the moment I registered it with HostGator at the time I purchased my plan) with HostGator. However, when I look up information about the domain name at domaintools.com, it shows HostGator as the registrant and Brent Oxley as the adminstrative contact. Does this mean that I am not the owner of my domain name?

You are the owner-- just ask support to switch the Whois info to whatever you'd like.
