Question to anyone...

Before comming to Hostgator. I had purchased several hosting plans & several bandwidth upgrades from a reseller at ebay. I only had my hosting for 2 sites/2 weeks & 2 sites/1 week. We both agreed he would pay me back 1/2 my money, since I did not use up more that 2 gigs of my upgraded 10 gig account. Now he is not paying. Anyone have any idea, how I can pressure him to get my money back? This guy was a rip off artist, getting people to hosting on a really bad server with 60% uptime, for dirt cheap. Then getting users to upgrade to a really expensive account & ripping them off for bandwidth. Anyway, this is my story & if anyone has any ideas, please let me know. Sorry to rant and rave, but this is my story & thank god for Hostgator.... :roll:

How did you pay them for the hosting?

If you paid with cash or check forget about it.
If you paid using paypal you have 30 days from the day of purchase to file a complaint and get your money back. You file the complaint you will get it.

If you paid using a credit card just do a chargeback. I know we've gotten screwed before on chargebacks. A kid will ask their dad for hosting from us. 6 months later the dad forgets who hostgator is. He does a chargeback, and he gets refunded for every single month. Forget asking for half back you'll get the entire amount back if you fight it.

I've personally done a few chargebacks on scam companies. I called my bank up told them I wanted to do it, and they mailed me the forms to do so. 4 days later I got the form then I believe a month later I was refunded.
