I might have missed this one in the FAQ or the Affiliates section so it's stoopid question time.
When I'm hosted, does it cost anything to join the affiliate program? I've been with hosts that charged you if you were either hosted with (nameofhost) or weren't, others it was no charge for people hosted with (inserthostnamehere) but charge for those not, others it was affiliate program for hosted people only.

Yea i think it doesn't matter which plan they buy you get the same commission also the more sales you make your commission value rises. More about that here.
You can also join Hostgator's affiliate program via commission junction, which is where i signed up too.
