What to put instead asterisk?

I try to setup mail in mail mail client but I am not sure what to put instead asteriks in:

Outgoing Mail Server: (SSL) *.hostgator.com (server requires authentication) port 465

You would put in your server number. It should be listed in your Welcome Email. If you are not certain of the server number we may be able to help if you provide your domain name. You could also go to Live Chat and a tech would be able to help.
