I purchased HostGator you but so far nothing

On August 4th I purchased shared space and a new domain name from HostGator. I did receive a Welcome To email but the domain has never worked If I look up the domain I purchased on WhoIs it's still available for purchase.

Did you contact Sales? I'd start by opening a Live Chat session and seeing what they have to say.

I'll just cancel the whole thing. At this point it would be quicker to open a fresh account with another provider than fight this on Monday. After all the URL is still available for purchase. I just came here because I have other accounts here.

Why wait till Monday? HG support is available 24/7.

At best I'm going to start the process fresh after the error is found. Verio populates URL much faster and this site it time sensitive.

Did you make a payment? In my experience, the initial setup gets me an confirmation of my hosting order. Then I have to go to the billing site and make a payment. Payment produces two more emails: a receipt of payment and one entitled: Your HostGator Account Information which contains all the information I need to access my domain account cpanel
