Will you review my site for me www.prontossl.com
I'd like your honest opinions, and any suggestions for improvement. Also, can someone tell me if my IP To Country script is working. The prices should be in your own currency if available. I'm in the UK, and I've set the default to GBP. Thanks guys. |

I just looked over your website again. I like the colors and the links on the right of the page. However, I think it would be a lot better if you put the links on the top of the page instead of the bottom.

Thank you esl.
We wondered about the navigation, and I was persuaded not to have a dedicated navigation bar, but I thought it was wrong. Has anyone else found the script to work or not? I downloaded a IP-to-country database from http://ip-to-country.webhosting.info/node/view/6 but it seems to miss a certain IP ranges. Any suggestions? Vince |

Well the biggest thing I see and you should really put your hands to it is that your billing system is not on an SSL connection....You sold some ssl to protect information but you don't even have one on your own site to protect the information I would send to you for buying an SSL certificate.
That's why for myself I would never buy something from you: No protection for the buyer's information. Links need to be at the top of the page. and I didn't know where to click either. So maybe get your links underline in the right panel side so we can know where to click. Best regards, |

Thank you vtrain, I will have another look at this script this weekend. Something is definately not right.
And thanks to chaloupe. Some great suggestions. My billing system should be on an SSL connection, but there seems to have been an oversight here. I have the cert installed already (one of my own RapidSSL's). Will put that right today. We are now in the process of creating a navigation for the top of the page, after the suggestions by esl and chaloupe. Will let you know when it is live on the site. The links should all be in purple and become underlined when you hover over them. Is this not obvious enough? Should I make them underlined always, and simply change their colour when you hover? Any comments appreciated here. Thanks again to everyone. |

So because the link was not underline(or did not become underline on mouse over) and there was no upper menu, I was just a bit lost and didn't know where to start and where to click. I was raise in Internet with underline links(or mouse over underline) so it is someting that I usually search for on a website to navigate fast. Good thing about the SSL your will get on site for your billing process! |

After the first click, you should display the price one more time instead of just collecting info. That way customers are sure they are getting what they clicked on.

Thanks everyone,
I'm pleased the prices are now in the correct currencies. vtrain: I downloaded the database of IPs to countries (link in post above) and then wrote the script myself in PHP. I write all my own scripts. serra: do you mean on stage 1 of the cart, I should remove the ability to change the chosen product and currency, and simply just display the price for the product already chosen? Do you think I should remove all choices here, even the payment method, and ask that in stage 2? I will work on the navigation tomorrow. Thanks again to you all. Vince. |
