Hi All,
Thanks for reading. Am facing a issue that is not really related to VPS. I have a Level 3 VPS to which I just migrated a new site www.fullofthings.com. Everything seems to be working fine and zippy except for 1 part of the site - the 'Monitor' function for logged in users takes forever to load, especially if the user has 5 or more active advertisements. On one hand, it seems like a coding issue (though my developer has scrutinised it) as other more complex database queries on the same site are working fine. However, the exact same site/database on another shared hosting site is working completely fine. We have looked at the server logs - everything seems fine, so am kinda at our wit's end to solve this. Any ideas would be appreciated on how best to troubleshoot this. Thanks in advance! |

if there is a delay on a section of a site it pretty clear that the problem is in that section of the site, & since it is working fine on another host I'm assuming that there is a compatibility issues with the server & that section.
Are there any functions / queries that are not compatible w the HG's configuration?? database engines?? when you say that if the user has 5+ ads, then that should give your developer a hint on where to look first.

Pazeh, think you're right. My developer has isolated it to the way HG handles encryption. Seems to be some issue there. Will be working with tech support to solve this.
