I moved to hostgator a month ago, I live in the UK and I was using a UK host but 1GB of space and 25GB bandwidth was not enough and I thought I could get more off here for the same price which I did. For the first month it didnt cost me a thing basically with the cupon. The live support is very good, download speeds are also decent seeing as I live in the UK. I have not seen a decrease in page load times much. I have had some minor downtime nothing major.
I recomend hostgator try them out, I read these forums and herd some horrible things but I tried them and now use them
